At HappyCSV, we take a radical approach to privacy: We don't want your data.

1. No Server Uploads

Unlike other online tools, HappyCSV processes your files 100% Client-Side. Supported CSV, Excel, JSON, contact, calendar, and other files never leave your computer. They are processed locally in your browser using WebAssembly and JavaScript workers.

We do not have a database of your files. We cannot see, read, or sell your data because we never receive it.

2. Data Collection

We collect aggregate usage statistics to understand whether the tools work and where people encounter errors. This includes:

• Pages visited
• Tools used (e.g., "Merge Tool" vs "Split Tool")
• Browser type and device type
• Referrer (where you came from)
• Whether a workflow completed or produced an error
• Processing duration and the number of files selected

We use Vercel Analytics for these product metrics. We do not send file names, file contents, column names, cell values, input size, or output size to analytics. Files remain processed locally in your browser.

3. Local Storage

We use your browser's Local Storage only for features you use, such as saved tool templates and recent processing history. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us.
